The State Legislature has launched a scheme that is far different from what was implemented by the state and is considered to be more efficient and versatile. As there are various schemes introduced for farm–loan relief, the Odisha Government has initiated the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) to provide financial support to those who are farmers and planning for planting season. It is a package for farmers’ welfare through which farmers can enjoy Agricultural Prosperity resulting in a reduction of Poverty. This scheme is mainly introduced for marginal and small farmers, through which they can buy seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers and make money through agriculture activities. Grants to Small and Marginal Farmers

This scheme is made with the expectation to help and provide support to more than 30 lakh smallholder farmers in Odisha. There is a budget of 10,000 crore allocated especially for Rabi crops and Rabi season and 5,000 crore for the rest of the seasons. This money is provided to the farmers so that they can buy seeds or fertilizers and make other investments. Every farmer is eligible to apply for this scheme and they can apply anytime throughout 3 years.

The Objective of KALIA Yojana

The main objective behind introducing this scheme is to provide welfare for the farmers. The government aims to reduce certain issues through this scheme:

1. The first and most important objective behind the scheme is to provide a debt-free environment to the farmers and reduce as much debt burden as the Government can. For this there is a budget of INR 10,000 crore which is kept aside.
2. To facilitate almost all the landless cultivators and 92 percent of state growers.
3. This scheme will help provide direct relief from poverty and provide financial assistance to deprived farm households, marginal growers, and landless laborers.
4. To provide a support system to every farmer which is accessible along with being adaptive.
5. Through this scheme, Farmer’s annual income can be increased.
6. Along with farmers, it will also help in developing Agricultural development and ensure that overall agricultural productivity can increase.

Features of Kalia Yojana 

The features of Kalia Yojana are mentioned below: 

1. Financial Assistance for Agricultural Activities

Under this scheme, every deprived agricultural family will be receiving ₹25,000 for all kinds of agricultural activities like mini-layer units, goat raising units, mini–layer units, fishery kits, bee keeping, mushroom farming, etc. 

2. Benefits for Marginal Agricultural Workers

The main benefit of this scheme is that every individual of Odisha who is engaged in the Agricultural field and comes under the Marginal range will be provided financial assistance of ₹ 25,000 over 5 years to provide farming input like fertilizer, seeds, pesticides, etc.

3. Support to Vulnerable Farmers

All the vulnerable farmers who are unable to make an appropriate amount of income will be provided with ₹ 10,000 per household every year to provide them assistance to outlast.

4. Insurance facility

The scheme beneficiaries who fall between the age group of 18 – 50 years are granted life insurance of INR 2 lakh.  The accidental insurance of Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) Yojana covers ₹2 lakh for the age group between 18 – 50 years to the saving bank account customers at the rate of ₹330.

5. Loan facility

Under the scheme, farmers are provided a crop loan of up to ₹50,000 at an interest of 0%.

Eligibility Criteria for Kalia Yojana 

The eligibility requirements for Kalia Yojana are:

1. Small and Marginal Farmers can get financial assistance and other benefits from the yojana. 
2. Landless agricultural households can get livelihood support. 
3. Vulnerable agricultural households such as Vulnerable cultivators and landless laborers are eligible. 
4. Vulnerable cultivators and landless laborers include elderly people, the disabled, suffering from disease, or various other reasons.

How to Check KALIA Yojana New Beneficiary List 2025?

To check the kalia yojana new list status, follow the steps below:

1. Firstly, you have to visit the official website of Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA).
2. Right on the main page, you will find the ‘Beneficiary list’ option from the menu bar.
3. A new page will appear on your screen and you have to choose the district name.
4. Then you have to choose the ULB/Block and then GP.
5. You will receive the PDF Link, open it, and click on the option of ‘View’.
6. Once you click on the PDF Link, fill in the captcha code.
7. You have to open the PDF and then click the option of ‘Submit’ and then the PDF will open on your screen for kalia yojana new list 2024. You can check your name in the kalia yojana list.
8. To certify your name on the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) Yojana scheme list, you have to give verification of your name, village, gender, and father/husband name. 

How to Apply Offline Under Kalia Yojana 2025?

The candidates planning to apply for kalia yojana offline should complete the application process:

1. The farmers who want to apply for the KALIA Application form, then you can find it In the Gram Panchayat Office and submit it there only.
2. The list of Gram Panchayat applicants will be reviewed by the Nodal Officer of Gram Panchayat and then submitted to the District Level Committee for further verification.
3. The draft list of the KALIA scheme will be published at the Gram Panchayat level or you can even check the official website of the KALIA Scheme.

Kalia Yojana Apply Online Process

The candidates who wish to do kalia yojana apply online must follow the steps mentioned below: 

1. Open the Kalia Yojana scheme official website. 
2. On the homepage, you will find the option for “Apply Online”, press it.
3. Choose the forms – Green for Farmers and Red for Sharecroppers and landless farmers. 
4. Now, enter your details such as personal information, Bank details, Aadhaar card, land and income details. 
5. Upload the required documents including Aadhaar card, land record and bank details. 
6. After completing the form, Press “Submit”. 
7. Get the acknowledgement slip containing your application number. Save the slip for future use.

How to Check Kalia Yojana Application Status Online? 

If you wish to check kalia yojana status, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the official website of Kalia Yojana. You will see the homepage. 
2. Here, find the option for “online Grievance Application Form”.
3. You will see a new page where you will find the option for “Kalia Application status”.
4. Enter your application number and press “Send OTP”. 
5. You will get an OTP via SMS on mobile number, enter it in the space provided on the screen. 
6. Press “Submit” options and you will see the application status on the screen. 

e-kyc Process for Kalia Yojana 2025

to update the kalia yojana e-kyc, follow the steps below: 

1. Go to the official website of the Kalia Yojana. 
2. You will see the homepage open on the screen. 
3. Check the upper sight corner of the screen to get the option for “Complete your KYC”.
4. Press the option and another page will open on the screen. 
5. Enter all the details and formalities required for KYC. Upload the documents and photograph as mentioned in the instructions. 
6. After verification, your kalia yojana e-kyc will be updated.
