During the announcement of the Union Budget 2025, the honorable Prime Minister announced the PM Internship Scheme 2025. The goal of this program is to give young Indians access to at least 1.25 lakh internship opportunities in over 500 prestigious companies. What are the Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme?
Before applying to the PM Internship Scheme 2025, students need to fulfill the eligibility criteria, which are mentioned above:
- The candidate needs to be a permanent resident of India.
- The candidate must be between 21 to 24 years old.
- The age relaxation criteria are available for the OBC (NCL) for 3 years, and for the SC & ST for 5 years.
- Candidates who are enrolled in the online or distance learning programmes can apply to this scheme. But those who are full-time employees are ineligible for the scheme.
- Candidates must have the relevant educational certificates from their respective schools and colleges.
Ineligibility Criteria for the Internship Scheme:
- Those candidates are not eligible for the scheme who are between the ages of 21 to 24 years.
- If you are a full-time employee or a student, then you are also ineligible for the scheme.
- If the applicant has graduated from an institution, such as the National Law Institution, IISER, NID, IIIT, or IIT, then they are also not eligible.
- You possess professional certifications like CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, and BDS, or advanced degrees like an MBA or PhD.
- If the candidate is participating in any government skill development programme, apprenticeship, or any other training programme, then they are not eligible.
- If an individual has completed their apprenticeship under NAPS or NATS.
- If the family income of the candidate exceeds Rs 8 lakhs in the financial year 2023-2024, then the candidate is ineligible to apply to this scheme.
- If you and your family are doing a full-time job in any government office, then an individual is ineligible.
